Young Artist Scholarship:

The John Walt Foundation Young Artist Scholarship awards $1,000 scholarships to 5 Chicago area youth between the ages of 14 -24 years old who are interested in the arts. To apply you must be between the age of 14-23, submit an application, and submit an original project/composition (song, poem, dance piece, etc...) via the portfolio upload field on the application. Applicants also must be following the John Walt Foundation across social media channels.

The John Walt Foundation Scholarship is focused on mentorship, collaborative and experiential learning of the Young Artist through:

1. Writing Workshops

2. Open Mics

3. Mentoring

4. Craft Development

5. Studio Recording
